Whenever anyone first hears this term "esoteria" they immediately think of religious mysticism, or that to which is dark and mysterious. There is a note of fear attached to the word "esoteria" and/or "esoterics". But, "if man is afraid of the dark, it is only because they are afraid of the light." So let us shed some light on a much shrouded term. Let us come out of the shadows and dispel the demons that lurk in dark corners.


What is Esoteria?

Esoterics is not for everyone because it is meant only for special people or for a select few. Perhaps you have heard this statement. Esoterics means secret or that to which is hidden. Again, you may have come across this view. Esoteric groups are inner circles especially designed for the religious elite or for those who have broken away from their own religious affiliations to form a new sect. If you have come across these views or heard similar statements push all of them aside for none are true.

Esoteric information is for everyone and always has been. That's what makes it special. The only difference is, not everyone is willing or ready to accept esoteric truths. But for the few who are willing, all knowledge shall come to light. Esoteric information was never meant to be kept a secret and neither shall it be called hidden. Esoteric information was kept from the public because religious orthodoxy or certain mystery schools have made that decision for us. Therefore it was hidden from our view when God never intended it to be.

Esoteric groups are not inner circles and they are not formed by the religious elite. Matter of fact, except for the Greek etymology of the prefix "eso" which means "within", there is nothing inner about esoterics, for it is an outward expression of divine knowledge or wisdom. It may require going within oneself to gain this wisdom---but when we arrive at a place of inner knowing we are suppose to share it with others, for this is the purpose of inner wisdom.

People interested in esoteric information come from all walks of life. There are no magical formulas and no degrees are needed. Confidentiality and special initiations are things of the past and belong to our forefathers. Ritual has no place in esoterics. For ritual leads to hierarchy and hierarchy leads to anarchy. Esoterics in not about power nor is it about surrender. Yet it is about love and it is about God. And that ought not be a mystery.
